QUALITY SYSTEM INTERNAL AUDITING

This training module provides the knowledge and skills required to perform internal audits of your laboratory quality system. Through group activities and individual participation, you will gain skills to successfully conduct quality system internal audits.

Two courses are currently offered, auditing quality systems based on ISO 9000, and auditing laboratory quality systems, based on ISO 17025 and NATA requirements for registration and Medical testing requirements..

 

Designed for: Personnel responsible for developing and managing your Internal Audit system, and other staff performing internal audits.

Learning Outcomes: Upon completion you will be able to prepare audit schedules and plans as well as prepare for, perform and report findings of internal audits. You will also understand the importance of effective communication skills in the internal audit process, where conflict can occur in the audit process, causes of conflict and ways to resolve it.

Content: Background and definitions, internal audit system requirements, internal auditor attributes and responsibilities, effective interview and audit techniques conflict management, and review of the internal audit process. You will also complete your first audit including preparation, planning, performing and reporting.

Format: 2 x 8 hour sessions
